Why This Internship Matters: This internship plays a meaningful role in supporting our Sustainable Building Services (SBS) team with residential sustainability certifications, including LEED for Homes, ENERGY STAR, and Passive House through a mix of field and office work. In the field, interns conduct inspections, testing and verification on multifamily buildings. In the office, interns will review construction documents, perform calculations, prepare certification submittals and track compliance requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
This role requires frequent movement through active construction sites, including climbing stairs and ladders, bending, reaching and carrying. The employee may be required to lift or move objects or equipment up to 40 pounds
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Approximately 60% of the duties will be performed in the field for observations and training. The remaining 40% of the duties will be performed in an office.
Approximate working hours: 9am – 5pm with flexibility for field work (earlier / later).
